Minnesota Crookston Has 25 Student-Athletes Earn 2022 All-Academic Fall Honors

BURNSVILLE, Minn. — The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference announced that 864 student-athletes have earned NSIC All-Academic honors for the 2022 fall athletic season; 535 student-athletes were named to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence, while 329 earned NSIC All-Academic Team honors.

Spreading salt on roadways is an effective way to clear roads for safe winter driving, but a growing body of research shows that salt damages the environment, is corrosive to vehicles and roads and could have health consequences.

Minnesota nurses reach tentative contract, averting strike

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — The union representing Minnesota nurses announced Tuesday that it has reached tentative contract agreements with 15 hospitals in the Twin Cities and Duluth areas, averting a strike that was scheduled to begin Sunday.

The current budget surplus should address increasing mental health needs in Minnesota, especially for our children and teenagers. Our mental health system isn’t broken, it was never built, and our current fragile system cannot meet the increased needs. Funding needs to be directed to address our workforce shortage – including the lack of diversity, increase rates for our community providers so that they can hire and retain staff, and increase funding for grant programs that work, such as school linked, shelter linked, mobile crisis teams, first episode of psychosis programs and more. Additionally, it is time to address the disparities in our mental health system.
