Softball Loses to Thief River Falls, Warroad Twice

The Crookston Pirate softball team suffered three losses Thief River Falls and Warroad in a two-day span. Since their opening game of the season, the Pirates have not been able to pick up another win.

School Board selects Dave Kuehn as interim superintendent

After a review of a number of applications for the interim superintendent position for Crookston School District, the school board selected Dave Kuehn to fill the spot during a special meeting at the district office. Kuehn was most recently the superintendent for Underwood, worked as assistant principal at Waconia High School and taught in Crookston for 20+ years.

Crookston Takes Home Five First-Place Finishes at TRF Quentin Jones Invitational

The Crookston Pirates boys’ and girls’ track teams had a great turnout at the Thief River Falls Quentin Jones Invitational on Tuesday, May 17, as they took home first in five different events. Girls’ Track and Field The girls’ team finished fourth with 97 points behind West Marshall (118), Thief River Falls (113.5) and East Grand Forks (111).

MSU Moorhead Scrubs Camp enrollment now open

Scrubs Camp will return to Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) this summer with sessions for students entering grades 10-12 interested in exploring healthcare careers. The camp begins Friday, June 27 and runs through Monday, June 30 from 9 a.m.
