Hospice of the Red River Valley Celebrates Groundbreaking of Heather’s House

Hospice of the Red River Valley has begun construction on Heather’s House, a free-standing hospice house that will serve patients and families around the region. Hospice of the Red River Valley is an independent, community-based nonprofit organization that has served patients and families in our region for 40 years.

This is a REMINDER NOTICE that the public is welcome to and encouraged to take sandbags and plastic free of charge. Sandbags and plastic from the following locations were not in contact with river water:

Curtis Ray Hoppe

Curtis Ray Hoppe, age 76 of Crookston, Minnesota, passed away on May 24, 2022, surrounded by family in his home. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Norma Jean (Ricard); siblings: Loren (Blas Valero), David (Ida), and Linda (Jim) Erickson; brother-in-law, Wayne Schenck; children: Laura (Dan) Haack, Jennifer (Ryan) McLean, and Matthew (Erin) Hoppe; and grandchildren: Jordan Haack, Gabrielle Haack, Lydia Haack, Carson Haack, Tristan Hoppe and Logan Hoppe, and Conor (Rebecca) McLean and Makenna McLean. He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Hoppe, mother, Jean (Johnson) Hoppe, and sister, Carolyn Schenck.

Crookston High School Class of 2022 Graduation

Crookston High School's Class of 2022 was celebrated with a graduation ceremony Friday, May 27 in the high school gym surrounded by friends, family, teachers, staff and their peers. The event consisted of performances by the band and choir, plus speeches by CHS Principal Nicki Martinez and teacher Gary Stegman.
