Towns agrees with Timberwolves on $224 million extension

Karl-Anthony Towns is under contract for six more years, after agreeing to an extension Friday to remain with the Minnesota Timberwolves. It's a huge commitment from the Timberwolves, and one they made as quickly as they possibly could: Starting in 2024-25, Towns will make $224 million over four years, and that follows the $70 million he's slotted to make over the next two seasons.

Faucet snails confirmed in George Lake in Mahnomen County

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has confirmed a report of faucet snails in George Lake, located entirely within the White Earth Reservation in Mahnomen County. A White Earth Nation official who is also a member of the State Aquatic Invasive Species Advisory Committee, Will Bement, contacted the DNR with faucet snail samples collected by a bait harvester trapping leeches on George Lake.

Mendez named on St. Cloud State University spring grads list

Shane Mendez of Crookston was listed as one of St. Cloud State University's spring graduates to receive a degree. He earned a Masters of Public Administration and joined 1,131 other students who graduated during spring semester 2022.
