The Minnesota Judicial Branch is made up of 10 judicial districts with 296 district court judgeships, 19 Court of Appeals judges, and seven Supreme Court justices. The Judicial Branch is governed by the Judicial Council, which is chaired by Lorie S. Gildea, Chief Justice of the Minnesota Supreme Court. The Minnesota Judicial Branch is mandated by the Minnesota Constitution to resolve disputes promptly and without delay. The Minnesota FFA Foundation is excited to announce that the James W. Tracy scholarship applications are open. The James W. Tracy scholarship application carries a deadline of February 1st, 2023. This is the eighth year the Minnesota FFA Foundation has offered this scholarship program.

In deicing season, a “less is more” approach best protects lakes and streams

With the arrival of winter weather come warnings to avoid using too much of a good thing to maintain snowy roadways, sidewalks and parking lots. Salt — often used to de-ice our paved surfaces — is commonly over-applied, sending too much chloride into our waterways and wreaking havoc for fish and other wildlife. Minnesotans can do their part this winter with a “less is better” strategy for salting surfaces and by using other tools to get the job done.

State Canvassing Board Certifies Results of the 2022 General Election

SAINT PAUL - On November 29, Secretary of State Steve Simon convened the State Canvassing Board to review the canvass report for the 2022 General Election and certify the results. In addition to judicial and state legislative offices, the board certified the election results of Minnesota’s constitutional officers and election results for eight U.S.

RiverView Health Auxiliary will be hosting their annual Cookie Walk, but this year with a twist. They are including a silent auction to compliment the cookie walk and are excited to include homemade aprons that were made by talented RiverView Volunteers that will be for sale. It’s an event you won’t want to miss.

Crookston Blood Drive Brings in 50 Volunteers

The Crookston community hosted a blood drive with Vitalant on November 15 at Trinity Lutheran Church which helped collect a total of 48 units of blood products for patients in need. A total of 50 individuals volunteered to donate blood and 43 individuals were able to successfully donate at the Vitalant blood drive on November 15.
