Crookston girls' hockey has checked off another milestone.

The Pirates won 4-2 at International Falls on Saturday afternoon, winning their 10th game of the season. The last time Crookston (10-13) had won double-digit games before this season was 2013.

Nora Peterson (Jr., F) struck for the Pirates 2:42 into the game, and scored again on a power play five minutes later. That 2-0 lead stood going into intermission.

The Broncos (0-19-1) scored a power-play goal five minutes into the second period, but Rylee Solheim (So., D) brought the score back to 3-1 with a short-handed goal three minutes later.

International Falls came within one goal again at the start of the third period. Peterson, though, clinched her hat-trick, and effectively the win, with a power-play strike coming at the 14:11 mark, with assists by Raina Satrom (8, F) and Morgan Nelson (8, D).

The Pirates outshot the Broncos, 27-10. Kailee Magsam (Fr., G) made eight saves for Crookston.

UP NEXT: Crookston finishes off the regular season at home against Bemidji on Tuesday. The Pirates and Lumberjacks were supposed to meet on Jan. 17, but that game was cancelled due to winter storms.

Crookston shut out Bemidji, 4-0, in Bemidji on Dec. 10, which was its first conference win in five years.
