Former University of Minnesota Crookston pitcher, Zach Seipel, made his first career start for the Danville Braves, a minor league affiliate for the Atlanta Braves.

    Seipel went five innings, allowed three runs on six hits, walked none and struck out four against Johnson City. Danville went on to lose 3-2.

    In 2018, Seipel’s first year with Danville, the right-hander pitched 24 innings out of the bullpen and sported an ERA of 2.63.
