On Sunday the Mite 3 had their first game of the year. They combined the mite blue and mite white for this week because they were a few kids short. The kids were roaring to go after the long car ride to Baudette and played an incredible first game with a 6-2 win. Colin Trudeau was in net and made some incredible saves. It was fun to watch the kids start the year with a win. Scoring was Rowan Benoit, Noah Chandler (2), Bladen Melsa, Braxton Miller and Caden Perry.

They played a second game after the ice was resurfaced and played a tougher second-year team. Overall, the kids played well. Even though they took a 4-1 loss, Colin kept the game close which kept spirits alive on the bench.

Michael has a knack for getting to the net with the puck and he also has an unselfish willingness to go into the corners and battle for the puck each shift. Michael is very much a team player and seems to enjoy setting up one of his teammates just as much as he likes to light the lamp himself. Thanks, Michael. It is a pleasure to coach you. Keep up the great work.
