This week's Pirates of the Week are Rachel Hefta, Blake Fee, Jack Ricord, Nick Garmen, Mackenze Epema and Brianna Kelly.

Girls’ Basketball
Rachel Hefta - Sr. F

Head Coach Darin Zimmerman says, “Rachel had two great games last week and has had a strong start overall. She anchored our defense with many blocked or altered shots. Rachel has been a key player for us the past few years and her experience and leadership shows daily.”

Blake Fee - Sr.

Head Coach Wes Hanson says, “Blake Fee has earned himself this week’s honors with his 2-0 performance last Tuesday in Grafton as well as a fifth place finish over the weekend at our home tournament, the Rodd Olson Invitational. Blake has worked extremely hard during the first few weeks of our season which have allowed him to be successful on the mat. I'm proud of his accomplishments so far this season and look for continued improvement as he gains more experience and technique.”

Boys’ Hockey
Jack Ricord - Sr. G

Head Coach Josh Hardy says, “Jack backstopped the Pirates to a tie on Friday night against St. Paul Johnson and then helped the Pirates win the Lions' Cup in a shoot out. Jack has stepped in as a senior and first year starter and done a great job for the Pirates. His positive attitude, work ethic and commitment to getting better every day will benefit him going forward.”

Boys’ Basketball
Nick Garmen - Sr. F

Head Coach Greg Garmen says, “Nick shot the ball really well this past Friday against Warroad. The Pirates are hoping he keeps shooting well all season long.”

Girls’ Hockey
Mackenze Epema - So. D

Head Coach Tim Moe says, “She had two assists in our overtime loss to Prairie Centre. She has also recorded two goals for us from her defensive position. While only a sophomore, she has grown into a leader for our young kids and will continue to be a great leader for us as she recovers from an injury she sustained this past weekend.”

Brianna Kelly - Fr.

Head Coach Adrianne Winger says, “This year, she is helping with the Park and Rec Little Treasurettes. Brianna always finds the positive in others, is always helpful and has great ideas. Brianna is open to learning new techniques and never says she can’t. She is not one to give up. She always gives 110 percent which we all appreciate. Briana is dedicated and often works at home to get better and her passion really shows.”
