This week's Pirates of the Week are Dani Boyle, Ethan Bowman, Mason LaPlante, Caden Osborn, Aleah Bienek and Quinn Siegle.

Girls’ Basketball
Dani Boyle - Jr. G

Head Coach Darin Zimmerman says, “Dani has had a great start to the season and was a major contributor in both our wins a week ago. Dani has new intensity this year and has elevated her game to a new level. She has played excellent defense and her aggressiveness on offense was a contributing factor in our ability to score over 60 in each of our first two games.”

Ethan Bowman - 8th Grade

Head Coach Wes Hanson says, “Ethan Bowman has earned this week’s honor after starting the Pirates’ season with a win by pin in Wahpeton. He was able to pick up four wins on the weekend earning a fourth place finish. Ethan really competed hard and showed he will be a big contributor to the team this season.”

Boys’ Hockey
Mason LaPlante - Sr. F

Head Coach Josh Hardy says, “Mason had a great first weekend for the Pirate boys’ hockey team. He had a hand in all five of the goals for the junior varsity including scoring the game-winner in overtime. He also drew a penalty in the varsity game that led to a power play opportunity. He did this all while battling a flu bug. Mason works hard every single day and always has a smile on his face. He's a great teammate and willing to do whatever is best for the team. Congrats, Mason.”

Boys’ Basketball
Caden Osborn - Jr. C

Head Coach Greg Garmen says, “Caden was very active on both ends of the floor in our first game at Perham. He rebounded very well and was really aggressive around the hoop.”

Girls’ Hockey
Aleah Bienek - Fr. F

Head Coach Tim Moe says, “Aleah scored three goals and recorded her first career hat trick last week in our win against Park Rapids. She always has a smile on her face and her positive attitude makes the day better for her teammates and coaches.”

Quinn Siegle - Fr.

Head Coach Adrianne Winger says, "Quinn has been sharing her passion of dance as a member of the Varsity Treasurettes Dance Team since seventh grade. This year, she has been a big part in helping choreograph the routines. She has a positive attitude and is always working to improve not only herself, but the team as a whole. Quinn is very creative and loves to challenge herself. Thank you, Quinn for all your hard work."
