This week's Pirates of the Week are Jaxon Wang, Katelynn Genereux, Hannah Emanuel, Elise Erdmann, Hailey Spivey, Jessica Willits, Mason Owens, Hannah Street, Elysa Christensen and Muira MacRae.

Football

Jaxon Wang - Fr. RB/LB

Head Coach Scott Butt says, “Jaxon is really becoming a very good football player. He had a solid game Friday night and is really becoming a player that will be very good for the next two years. We are excited about the progress Jaxon has made and we really enjoy coaching him.”

Volleyball

Katelynn Genereux - Sr. S

Head Coach Ashley Stopa says, “Katelynn has done an amazing job this season with her hard work and commitment to her team. She plays with tenacity on the court and always strives to improve. Katelynn has been working hard to get back on the court and did a great job on Senior Night. She demonstrated what a teammate truly is as she was always there for her team when she was recovering.”

Girls’ Soccer

Hannah Emanuel - Sr. D
Elise Erdmann - Sr. M
Hailey Spivey - Sr. F
Jessica Willits - Sr. D

Head Coach Sarah Reese says, “We are thankful for our seniors’ leadership and the fun, joy-filled atmosphere they provided during the soccer season.”

Boys’ Soccer

Mason Owens - Fr. D

Head Coach Don Cox says, “Mason loves soccer, he loves this team and he is not afraid to take on any forward. He’s quick, smart and made some really good saves for us against EGF in the first round section game last week. He developed himself into a solid part of our defensive line over the course of the season, a part that I rarely needed to relieve during matches. In fact, Mason kept that door closed to the attack all season long. He is only going to get better as he moves along. It is fitting that our youngest defender is our nominee as we close out the season.”

Girls’ Tennis

Hannah Street - Sr.
Elysa Christensen - Sr.

Head Coach Mike Geffre says, “My two seniors teamed up in a big win in the opening round of sections against Staples-Motley. The senior duo played an almost flawless match to win 6-0, 6-0. Without our two seniors coming up with this big win, we would have been eliminated in the first round. We will miss Hannah and Elysa's leadership and dedication next year.”

Girls’ Swimming

Muira MacRae - Sr.

Assistant Coach Aly Bergstrom says, “Muira was able to participate in her first meet of the season due to an injury earlier this year. The fact that she was able to fill in a spot in the 400 freestyle relay was exciting for the whole team. It was great to watch the girls compete in all three relays. Muira definitely held her own looking strong throughout her leg of the relay. I look forward to watching how Muira finishes off her final season with the Pirates.”
