Emma Borowicz and Catherine Tiedemann posted the only win for Crookston in the 6-1 loss.

Emma Borowicz (So.) and Catherine Tiedemann (So.) won a close first doubles match, but their victory proved to be the only match in Crookston’s favor as the Pirates lost 6-1 to Thief River Falls.

Hayden Winjum (Fr.) ran into a difficult opponent for the first doubles match and lost 6-1, 6-0. In second singles, Emma Osborn (Fr.) also fell in two sets 6-1, 6-2 as did Hannah Lindemoen (Fr.) in third singles 6-2, 6-1.

Halle Winjum (7th Grade) won the first set of fourth singles 7-5, but could not put her opponent away losing 6-3 in set two and dropping the third-set tiebreaker 10-6.

The first doubles team of Borowicz and Tiedemann continued their success as a pair and claimed the only Pirates’ win 6-4, 6-3.
