After splitting Saturday's affairs, the Reds swept the final two games of the weekend on Sunday.

After finishing as runner-up in the first weekend of the postseason, the Reds returned to Crookston for the Region 10C Tournament. In this double elimination tournament for the rights to advance to state, the Reds kicked off the weekend with a 10-9 win over Warroad on Saturday, August 4. After watching a 9-5 lead disappear, the Reds walked it off in the ninth with a bases-loaded walk to Cody Magsam.

In the quarterfinals game the same day, Crookston fell 9-4 to Bemidji which sent the Reds to the losers’ bracket. In their first win-or-go-home contest on Sunday, August 5, the Reds run-ruled Dilworth 12-2. Crookston led 6-2 in the seventh and scored six runs in the seventh inning capped off by a bases-loaded walk to Jackson Seibel to enforce the mercy rule. Sean Minder pitched all seven innings to earn the win.

The Reds then met Marble in the loser’s bracket semifinals for their second elimination game of the day. Crookston appeared to be in control leading 6-2 in the third, but a four-run inning by Marble knotted up the score. The Reds rebounded and outscored Marble 7-1 the rest of the way to win 13-7 and advanced to championship weekend beginning on Saturday, August 11.

Crookston will face Bemidji in a game that will determine the second and final state-qualifier from Region 10C. First pitch is set for Saturday, August 11 at 12 p.m. at Jim Karn Field.
