Fresh off a Sub-Section championship, members of the Pirates gained some additional hardware.

With the Section 8AA Meet looming and a trip to state on the line, the Crookston Pirates girls’ golf team saw four of their own receive All-North Fore-Conference honors. Ally Tiedemann (Sr.), Joslynn Leach (Fr.), Dani Boyle (So.) and Hannah Street (Jr.) each ranked in the top ten to earn the award.

Tiedemann came away from the North Sub-Section Meet on May 22 shooting two under par for a score of 70 to help the Pirates win the Sub-Section Championship. Tiedemann’s season average of 79.57 ranks her first in the fore-conference.

Ranked third, Leach took second a week ago in the first round of the postseason. In that same round, Leach recorded her first eagle of her high school career to help her season average of 91.38.

Boyle finished at number four in the conference honors list. Boyle owns an average of 92.63 and scored third-highest for Crookston at the Sub-Section Meet to place seventh as an individual.

The final Pirate to bring home the honors, Street, posted a season average of 98.63 to rank ninth. Street, once again, posted a consistent fourth score for the Pirates and took 12th as an individual in the most recent meet.

All four Pirates will compete with the rest of the team at the Section 8AA Meet in Bemidji on Monday and Tuesday, June 4-5 for a chance to advance to state. The top team and top six individuals not a part of the winning team will move on to the state level.
