Crookston tennis wins 5-2 against Detroit Lakes.

    A few extra days to prepare for Friday’s dual paid off for the Crookston Pirates boys tennis team.

    With a pair of matches cancelled last week due to inclement weather, the tennis squad focused on its lone contest with the Detroit Lakes Lakers and walked away with a 5-2 victory at the Crookston High School tennis courts.

    Crookston claimed three of four singles matches and two of three doubles matches en route to victory.

    The Pirates boys tennis team returns to action at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 2 for a dual with the Moorhead Spuds at the Crookston High School tennis courts.
