Crookston claims first home win of season.

Rallying behind three double-digit scorers, the Crookston Pirates boys basketball team walked away with a comfortable 66-46 win over the Warroad Warriors Friday at Crookston High School.

Trailing 11-10 in the first half, the Pirates went on a 11-0 run to take a 21-11 lead and never looked back as they cruised to the 20-point victory.

Sophomore forward Nick Garmen tallied a game-high 17 points against Warroad, while teammates Chris Wavra and Todd Boerger accumulated 14 and 13 points, respectively.

Crookston improves to 2-1 with Friday's win.

The Pirates return to action at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Crookston High School to host the Park Rapids Area.
