Minnesota Crookston Women’s Basketball Adds Transfer Post Hernandez to Roster

The University of Minnesota Crookston women’s basketball team announced the signing of transfer Nicole Hernandez (F/C, 6-2, Oak Creek, Wis./ Lindenwood University) Hernandez gives the Golden Eagles eight signees for the 2022-23 class, joining Emma Dudycha (G, 5-5, Austin, Minn./Austin H.S.), Hope Dudycha (G, 5-5, Austin, Minn./Austin H.S.), Taryn Frazer (G, 5-4, Cass Lake, Minn./Cass Lake-Bena H.S.), Dana Melby (G, 5-10, Gonvick, Minn./Clearbrook-Gonvick H.S.), Emma Miller (G, 5-1, Albertville, Minn./ St. Michael-Albertville H.S.), Natalie Mikrot (G, 5-6, Willow River, Minn./ Moose Lake-Willow River H.S.), and Janie Tormanen (F/C, 6-0, Menahga, Minn/Menahga H.S.).

Volunteer Water Monitors needed to help state track water quality in Crookston area

As spring arrives in Minnesota, it’s time for the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) to kick off its popular program that relies on Minnesota residents to help monitor the state’s 12,000+ lakes and 92,000+ miles of streams. The MPCA is now recruiting volunteers to measure water clarity in numerous lakes and streams – including several high-priority sites in the Crookston area – and then report back to the agency. This is the perfect opportunity for outdoor enthusiasts and those interested in helping protect our state’s natural resources.

Minnesota Crookston Tennis signs Cortes Astudillo from Mexico

The University of Minnesota Crookston women’s tennis team announced the signing of Valeria Cortes Astudillo (Tuxtla Gutierrez, Mexico/Andes Tuxtla S.C.) to a National Letter of Intent. Cortes Astudillo is the first signee for the Golden Eagles for the 2022 signing class.
