Minnesota Crookston Volleyball Drops a Pair of 1-3 Road Matches

The University of Minnesota Crookston volleyball team opened up NSIC play with two road losses on Friday, September 9 and Saturday, September 10. MSUM 3 Crookston 1 Minnesota Crookston traveled down Highway-75 to open up NSIC Volleyball play with rival Minnesota State University, Moorhead.

Revelation 19: 16 “And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.” In the Tower Castle in London, there is a theater in which there is a continuous film loop shown of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. In 1999, my son and I were in that theater and I will never forget the expressions on the faces of the British people as they watched.

Three UMN Crookston students earn Masonic Lodge scholarship

Crookston Masonic Lodge recently awarded three University of Minnesota Crookston students with scholarships from proceeds of their annual vidalia onion sales event. Sophomore Christopher Robert Carlson, freshman Alex Kozitka and freshman Jack Garmen each received $1,000 from the scholarship that's exclusive to UMN Crookston. Lodge member Lester Wilkens said their group sold 5,000 pounds of onions in approximately two-and-ahalf days.

Riverview Health Blood Drive Brings in 42 Volunteers

Submitted CROOKSTON, Minn. – Riverview Health hosted a blood drive with Vitalant on August 31 at Riverview Health which helped collect a total of 44 units of blood products for patients in need.

City of Crookston Ward 4 Meeting

Submitted The City of Crookston Ward 4 Board of Directors and the Downtown Crookston Development Partnership (DCDP) will host an important listening and input session to discuss the results of the two surveys for all residents of Ward 4, the downtown business owners, downtown residents and the Crookston community. All are invited to participate and comment on concers, challenges, obstacles and future optimism of Ward 4.
