Report: Minnesota Continues to Rank Third in Prosperity Despite Pandemic and Economic Challenges

Minnesota ranks third in overall prosperity according to the American Dream Prosperity Index (ADPI), released this month by the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream in partnership with Legatum Institute. The United States continues to see a rise in prosperity, even as we faced the long-term impacts of a pandemic and the economic realities of rising inflation and a shrinking economy. But while the overall trend points to a prosperous nation, prosperity continues to be unequally distributed regionally, often eluding rural communities and Black Americans.

Our Golden Eagles volleyball team celebrated their last match with a five-set thrilling victory on senior day over MSU Moorhead, women’s cross country finished 16th at the NSIC championship and continue to grow the program, men’s cross country notched some personal records and season bests, our soccer team had nine exciting home matches this season and added some wins on the board, women’s golf put up some of their best rounds in program history, men’s golf had one of their best tournament placings in seven years, and our trap team finished sixth in the nation. Besides their fall sports, our student-athletes have excelled in the classroom as well with an overall 3.2 GPA. These are all great accomplishments and we’re very proud.
