Stainbrook has been lobbying for a joint session since being appointed mayor
While leaders of both entities have been talking for some time about holding a joint meeting, since Dale Stainbrook was appointed mayor earlier this year he has led the push to have the Crookston City Council and CHEDA Board of Directors sit down together to make sure everyone is on the same page and working together for what’s best for the community.
It’s finally going to happen on Tuesday, June 30 beginning at 6:30 p.m. In order to give everyone enough room to properly social distance, the joint session will take place in the Crookston High School auditorium.
A joint meeting between the two was originally scheduled earlier in the spring, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tuesday’s lone agenda item is entitled “Governmental Entity Collaboration Discussion.”
The public is welcome.
