As school year draws to a close, plan is to start summer grab-and-go service June 1

    With the 2019-20 school year nearing its conclusion with Crookston students learning at home and a meal service program operating out of Highland School, School District Food Services Director Anna Ogaard-Brekken provided some updates on the service schedule with the Memorial Day holiday weekend approaching, followed by the last distance learning day of the school year.

    She also has some early updates on summer meal service plans, but stresses that those are subject to change pending Minnesota Department of Health and Minnesota Department of Education directives.

    Important dates:

    • May 25 - No food service in observance of Memorial Day

    • May 27 - Last day of food service deliveries

    • May 28-29 - No grab-and-go food service

    • June 1 - Grab-and-go food service will resume at Highland School. It will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.. Monday through Friday and continue through June and July.

    Ogaard-Brekken says she will provide updates on the food service schedule as needed.
