Almost 60 submissions so far, and more are welcome.
A trio of Crookston churches – Trinity Lutheran, First Presbyterian and St. Paul’s Lutheran – have joined forces with a challenge entitled “One Word/One Verse" for people to select a word that brings them encouragement and hope, and then dig deeper to select a Bible verse to accompany their word.
Leah Winjum, Trinity’s Youth Ministries director, says people were asked to decorate a sign and put it up in a window – along with hearts and bears – or simply have their sign visible somewhere in their home.
“We had an amazing response,” Winjum says, adding that almost 60 images depicting One Word/One Verse participants were submitted. The images will be featured in a slide show played during services this Sunday.
She encourages others to participate in the One Word/One Verse initiative.
