Eleora DeMuth of Cohasset, Minnesota is the recipient of a $2,000 scholarship from the Minnesota Agricultural Education Leadership Council (MAELC). DeMuth is currently studying Agricultural Education at the University of Minnesota-Crookston.
Believing that education is the key to a successful future, MAELC is awarding a total of $25,000 to college students who plan to study Agricultural Education at the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities, the University of Minnesota-Crookston, and Southwest Minnesota State University.
“We enjoy having Eleora in our agricultural education family in Minnesota and look forward to having her join the teaching profession,” said Sarah Dornink, MAELC Executive Director. “By offering scholarships we can assist our students in having a successful college experience and continue their path to becoming an agriculture teacher.”
For the past 21 years, MAELC has awarded over $715,000 in scholarships to agricultural education students.
MAELC is a 17-member legislative council that provides leadership to promote and expand agricultural education in Minnesota. The state legislature, agricultural educators, and agriculture industry leaders are all represented on the council.
