Tamara Bertrum's performance is sponsored by the Crookston Community Theatre

    The Golden Link Senior Center’s St. Patrick’s Day Celebration will be filled with Irish music courtesy of a professional violinist. Tamara Bertram, a musician, educator and PhD student will be performing at the March 18 event starting at 5:30 p.m.

    Bertram has played violin and viola in various opera and orchestral groups, and musical theatre productions, both locally and overseas. She received her MM degree from the University of North Dakota in 2016, under the instruction of Dr. Alejandro Drago, and a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from the “Conservatorio di Musica ‘G. Verdi’ di Milano” in Italy. Bertram currently performs with the Greater Grand Forks Symphony Orchestra, Bemidji Symphony Orchestra and the UND String Quartet.

    The March 28 celebration includes Corn Beef and Cabbage, or Irish Stew for $10 a person. Call 281-3072 for a reservation. Crookston Community Theatre is sponsoring Bertram and the senior center’s celebration.
