The sheriff of Mercer County who was cited for driving drunk plans to take the case to trial.

Sheriff Dean Danzeisen has pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence and has waived his initial court appearance.
The Bismarck Tribune reports court records show he will go on trial in South Central District Court in May. An arraignment in city court scheduled for Wednesday has been canceled.
Danzeisen was cited for DUI in Bismarck on Jan. 24. Police say his blood alcohol content was 0.19%, more than twice the legal limit for driving.
Danzeisen has been the county's sheriff for more than 17 years.
