The man refused to come out of the apartment for several hours.

Jamestown police have arrested a man after an overnight standoff following a domestic disturbance.

KQDJ reports Police Chief Scott Edinger says officers responded to a call at an apartment building about 11 p.m. Wednesday. The victim of the disturbance told police a 54-year-old man was inside, possibly armed and threatened to harm her and himself.

Police evacuated the building and attempted to contact the man, but he refused to come out and kept officers at bay for several hours before they took him into custody after using a stun gun.

Authorities say the man has an outstanding warrant for his arrest in Burleigh County.
