Minnesota and North Dakota Agri-Women's “Harvest of Knowledge” 37th Annual Conference will be held Oct. 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Ramada Inn in Grand Forks, N.D.

    The keynote speaker will be Michelle Miller, also known as “Farm Babe” on social media. Miller made a name for herself as a dedicated myth-buster in the food industry.

    Nicole Bernd, West Polk County Soil and Water Conservation District manager will present information on the vital role the SWCD plays in soil and water resources.

    A grain marketing panel consisting of Betsy Jensen, Farm Business Management instructor at Northland Community & Technical College; Allison Thompson, Commodity Broker with “The Money Farm”, and Kate Miller, Market Education Specialist with AgCountry Farm Credit Services will discuss what affects commodity markets and how ag producers can react to market swings. The panel will host a Q&A session after their presentation.

    Barbara Gunderson, a professional photographer specializing in rural photography, will provide tips and tricks on capturing photos using a camera, cell phone and/or tablet computer.

    Luncheon entertainment will be provided by Tamara Auer-Bertram, a professional violist originally from Sydney, Australia.

    Early registration is encouraged and early fee is $35 which includes speakers, lunch, entertainment, silent auction, prizes and an Ag Fair represented by area vendors. After October 19 or at the door, the registration is $40.
