The East Fairfax Home Study Group met on Monday, February 18 at 2:00 p.m. at R.B.J.’s. President Bev Johnson called the meeting to order. All recited the Home Study Group Creed. The roll call was answered by sharing what we do on a storm day. Five members were present.

    The Secretary’s minutes were read and approved. There was no Treasurer’s Report.

    Old Business: We are on the nominating committee for nominating the Vice President of the West Polk County Home Council.

    New Business: Norma Hoppe agreed to be Vice President of West Polk County Home Council.

    Councilor’s Report: At the Home Council meeting a motion was made, seconded and carried to have one Norma Bigger Memorial scholarship.

    The meeting was adjourned.

    Bev Johnson gave more interesting information on insta pots and air fryers.

March 18

    The East Fairfax Home Study Group met on Monday, March 18 at 2:00 p.m. at Wonderful Life Foods. President Bev Johnson called the meeting to order. All recited the Home Study Group Creed. We answered roll call by sharing what our middle name is. Four members were present.

    Cindy Flikka had the Thought for the Day, “Each New Day.”

    The Secretary’s minutes were read and approved.

    There was no Treasurer’s report.

    Old Business: Laurain Jurchen will notify the Extension office that Norma Hoppe will be the Vice President of West Polk County Home Council. Several members reported that the flower bulbs we planted, after our bulb planting lesson, are blooming and growing well.

    There was no New Business.

    Bev Johnson told us about and shared beautiful pictures from her trip to Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. It was very interesting and we all enjoyed the pictures and discussion.

April 15

    The East Fairfax Home Study Group met on Monday, April 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the home of Pearl Radi, Pearl was the Hostess.

    President Bev Johnson called the meeting to order. All recited the Home Study Group Creed. Roll call was answered by sharing what is our favorite light lunch. Six members were present.

    Norma Hoppe had the Thought for the Day, “A penny save is a penny earned.”

    The Secretary’s minutes were read and approved. The Treasurer’s report was read and approved.

    There was no Old Business.

    New Business: Discussion was held on the upcoming Spring Fling and the West Polk County Home Council Spring Luncheon. The Spring Luncheon will be April 25, Thursday, 2019 at the Irishman Shanty in Crookston. The Spring Fling will be Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at the McIntosh Community Center, McIntosh, Mn. Some members plan on going to one or both of these events.

    The meeting was adjourned.

    Norma Hoppe gave the lesson “Cooking for one or two.” It was very interesting and useful.

    Pearl Radi then served a delicious lunch which was enjoyed by all.
