A man walking naked in downtown Crookston early Friday evening, April 19 was quickly taken into custody without incident, but the Crookston Police Department notes that the man, later identified as Luke Anthony Honea, 49, of Crookston was “obviously not aware of his situation” and was “yelling comments that didn’t make any sense” to responding officers.

The call came in around 5:25 p.m. regarding a naked man walking near the Crookston Public Library. He was located by CPD officers but refused to stop or comply with officers’ orders. He was subsequently arrested.

According to the CPD, Honea lives on the 100 block of South Broadway. The CPD says he exited an apartment building, where he was initially observed without clothing.

He’s in custody at the Northwest Regional Corrections Center in Crookston, charged with indecent exposure and obstructing the legal process.
