But who's walking off with the magnetized red sections on the fundraising thermometer at American Federal Bank?
The United Way of Crookston’s 2019 campaign raised $164,072.05, or 103% of its $160,000 goal.
Executive Director Lori Wagner and American Federal Bank’s Dan Erdman gathered at the thermometer outside American Federal to mark the occasion. The Times Photoshopped the thermometer to look fully red in the photo because, Wagner and Erdman say, someone has once again taken its magnetic red sections. The sections can be returned to American Federal or the United Way office at Valley Technology Park, no questions asked, Wagner says.
Erdman says measures are being taken that will make it tougher to take the red sections of the thermometer.
The next United Way of Crookston fundraiser is the 4th Annual Hugo’s United Way Golf Tournament on June 27 at Minakwa Golf Club.
