Iowa State University’s four-year hold on the North American College and Teachers of Agriculture (NACTA) Student Judging Conference Sweepstakes Award ended at the 2019 national competition April 10-13 at Murray State University in Kentucky, as the University of Minnesota Crookston NACTA team took first place in the four-year college division.

Iowa State also happens to be the alma mater of UMN Crookston Chancellor Mary Holz-Clause, who joined a contingent at the Crookston campus Sunday afternoon to welcome back around 40 members of the UMN Crookston NACTA team, which also includes some students from NCTC in Thief River Falls.

Other universities competing included Purdue and Kansas State.
