Finale meal featuring cultural activities wraps things up on April 1

    Join University of Minnesota Crookston international students on a flavorful trip around the world at the annual International Dinners Series. The 2019 series highlights India, Nigeria, Japan, and culminates with the International Dinner Finale.

    The dinners are scheduled for Monday, March 4, Monday, March 11, and Monday, March 25, with the finale on Monday, April 1. All dinners begin at 6 p.m. in Bede Ballroom, Sargeant Student Center.

    The cultural activities of the finale dinner on April 1 will start at 5 p.m. in the Northern Lights Lounge of the Sargeant Student Center with light refreshments and cultural booths.

    Individual tickets for adults are $20 for the meals in March and are $25 for the finale on April 1. Kids’ tickets are $15 for the March meals and $20 for the finale. A ticket set for all four meals is $75 for adults and $65 for youth 18 and younger.

    • Monday, March 4, India – “SIKHS!! WHO ARE THEY?” features presenter, Navjot Singh, UMN Crookston senior from Gurdaspur, India, majoring in software engineering.

    • Monday, March 11, Nigeria – “A birthplace of greatness” features presenter Derefaa Cline, UMN Crookston senior from Port Harcourt, Nigeria, majoring in software engineering.

    • Monday, March 25, Japan – “Heritage + Culture = Heriture” features presenter, Kimie Shiozawa, UMN Crookston sophomore from Tokyo, Japan, majoring in Natural Resources.
