RiverView Health Special Health Presentations on Holistic Pain Management will be held at 12 p.m. in Meeting Room 1 at RiverView and again at 6:30 p.m. in the Minnesota Room. During the presentations, psychologist Dr. Brenda King will teach you how to tap into the power of your brain to manage pain through thought, attendtion and relaxation; Darcey Larsen, RD LD, will give tips on how to make over your kitchen and lunchbox with the power of anti-inflammatory foods, and Megan Scott, L.Ac.Dipl.O.M., will share how to restore your body’s natural pain relieving potential with acupuncture and tai chi. Pre-registration is required for the noon luncheon by calling 281-9745. You can order a boxed lunch for $3 when pre-registering as well.

RiverView Health Type 2 Diabetes Support Group will meet from 5-6 p.m. the fourth Wednesday of every month, unless noted, in Meeting Room 1 at RiverView. They will be held , November 28, December 19. The meetings are led by RiverView Dietician Darcey Larsen, RD LD and Health Coach Kelsey Billing RN BSN. The Type 2 meetings are free and open to anyone with Type 2 Diabetes and their family members. New members are always welcome.

CHS 19th Annual Classic Noel will be held at 6 p.m. in the CHS Commons. The CHS Choir and Orchestra will perform and dinner will be catered by the Irishman’s Shanty and RBJ’s Restaurant. Tickets are $20 for the dinner and the concert is at 7:30 p.m.


Monday, December 3

Collective Goods will be on sale from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Villa St. Vincent Wellness/Activity Room on Monday and Tuesday. Sales on books, electronics, home goods, kids’ gifts, and more. Proceeds benefit Villa St. Vincent projects.

Toys for Tots Christmas Wrapping will be held at 1 p.m. at the Golden Link Senior Center. They’ll also do wrapping on Dec. 10 and 17.

Chuck Devos Benefit will be held from 4:30-7 p.m. at the Crookston Eagles. Free will offering spaghetti dinner, silent auction and karaoke. Proceeds will go towards Chuck’s medical treatment at the U of M.

Holiday Progressive Dinner for the Care & Share of Crookston will be held from 4-8 p.m. with the first stop at Trinity Lutheran Church at 4 p.m. followed by the Cathedral at 5 p.m. and finishing at Wesley United Methodist Church at 6:45 p.m. Tickets are $30 per person for a three course meal.
