St. Paul’s Lutheran, First Presbyterian churches are the sites

Sticking to a change that took effect during the August Primary, voters who live in Crookston on Election Day Tuesday will have only two polling locations at which to fill out their ballots.

Voters living in Wards 1, 2 and 6 will cast their ballots at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Voters living in Wards 3, 4 and 5 will cast their ballots at First Presbyterian Church. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Crookston’s Minnesota Department of Transportation office is no longer a polling site. Local election officials say the space was getting a bit tight and some remodeling had been scheduled, so it was removed as a polling site.

It’s a busy election in Crookston, with a new mayor to be elected, four council seats up for election, and a trio of seats on the Crookston School Board also up for election. In addition, Polk County voters will pick a new sheriff, and vote in the Minnesota House District 1B race.
