Events kick off Oct. 8, coronation is Oct. 9.

    Crookston High School’s 2018 Homecoming week is October 8-12.

    The week will start with Pajama Day on Monday. Country vs. Country Club is Tuesday’s theme, along with coronation of the 2018 CHS Homecoming Queen and King at 10 a.m. in the auditorium.     

    Homecoming Queen candidates are Gina Visness, Thea Oman, Hannah Emanuel, Elise Erdman, and Hailey Spivey. Homecoming King candidates are Nick Garmen, Eric Delorme, Jake Anderson, Johnny Abeld, and Brock Heppner.

    Wednesday will be Hawaiian Day with Powder Puff football at 7 p.m. at Ed Widseth Field at UMC.

    The Color War will take place on Thursday, with the seniors wearing black, juniors wearing white, sophomores wearing blue, freshmen wearing red, eighth graders wearing yellow, seventh graders wearing green, and CHS staff wearing orange. There is a boys’ volleyball tournament at 10 a.m. starting with the freshmen and sophomores against CHS staff.

    Friday is Pirate Pride. That morning the Homecoming court will be traveling to Highland, Cathedral, and Washington schools. At 10 a.m. junior and senior boys will play volleyball against  CHS staff. The pep fest is at 2:30 p.m. in the gym, the Homecoming football game is at 6 p.m., and the Marching Band will perform at halftime. The Homecoming dance will be from 9 p.m. to midnight with the doors closing at 10.

    Homecoming week is planned and put on by the CHS Student Council.
