Three buildings on track for occupancy by Oct. 1.
The Northwest Minnesota Foundation and Tri-Valley Opportunity Council this week hosted the Housing Action Network in Crookston, part of the Impact 20/20 initiative, and while everyone was here they had a chance to check on construction progress at the Agassiz Townhomes site on North Broadway.
In taking a tour, the attendees from Bemidji, Fosston, Thief River Falls, Warren, Red Lake Falls and Mahnomen saw a 30-unit complex that will have the three buildings on the north half of the development ready for occupancy Oct. 1, Tri-Valley CEO Jason Carlson tells the Times.
“Community Contractors and their subs (subcontractors) have been putting in very long days to stay on schedule,” Carlson explained. “I think the units look great.”
While leasing is underway, Carlson said that early on it’s been “somewhat slow,” but he attributes that to a focus on placing tenants in units that align with their household size.
Details on a grand opening event are forthcoming, he added.
