Coffee Chats also debut
The Crookston Area Chamber of Commerce has launched a “Volunteer Program” at its downtown office.
Chamber Executive Director Terri Heggie welcomes longtime Crookston resident Joyce Presley as a volunteer. Presley was the owner of Farmers Union Insurance for over 25 years. Prior to that, she was employed by American Crystal for approximately nine years.
“We cater to any schedule so Joyce sets her own hours,” Heggie explained.
If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering in a fun atmosphere located in the heart of Crookston, Heggie says to stop by and chat or give the Chamber a call at 281-4320.
“We would love to visit with you,” she says.
In addition to its new Volunteer Program, the Crookston Chamber is debuting something else.
Every Monday morning from 7-9 a.m., starting June 18, at the Crookston Chamber and Visitors Bureau office at 107 West 2nd St. they welcome the community to “Chamber Coffee Chat.” The Chamber provides the coffee and goodies, guests provide the chat.
“In a hurry to get to work and don’t have time to chat? Grab a cup to-go,” Heggie says. “Everyone is welcome.”
