The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League of the Minnesota North District will be gathering June 18-20 in Bemidji. The LWML is the official women’s auxiliary of The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod.

    Registration begins June 18 at 11 a.m. at the Sanford Center. The Crookston Zone and Bemidji/Park Rapids Zone are serving as hosts.

    Business will include setting a Mite/Mission Grant Goal and Projects for the next biennium. Mission speakers will give firsthand reports on their activity in the mission fields. Worship and Bible study will be led by Rev. Bruce Timm from Redeemer Lutheran Church in St. Cloud. The keynote speaker will be Cynthia Kahn, a Muslim convert and director of POBLO (People of the Book Lutheran Outreach).

    Attendees from Crookston and serving on the Convention Committees are Jean Tester, Nuclei registration chairman; Laurain Jurchen, Convention Choir director; Sandra Trittin, hostess, and; Laurain Jurchen and Sandra Trittin, Display Committee. Delegates from Our Savior’s Afternoon and Evening Guild are Jean Tester and Debra Anderson.
