A Minot, N.D. man was taken into custody following a pursuit near Mentor early Monday morning when a Minnesota State Patrol trooper successfully used a PIT (Pursuit Intervention Technique) maneuver to disable the man’s vehicle. Brady Joseph Roggenbuck Werre, 24, could face multiple charges in the ongoing investigation.

    According to a release from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, on Monday, April 23 at approximately 3:30 a.m., the PCSO was dispatched to a report of a male sleeping in his vehicle at the intersection of Polk County Road 46 and U.S. Highway 2. Deputies responded to the area, but the vehicle had already left the scene. They were able to quickly locate the suspect vehicle and traffic violations were observed. When they attempted to stop the suspect vehicle, the vehicle fled and a pursuit was initiated.

    The pursuit continued east on Hwy 2 to the Mentor area where deputies were joined by the Minnesota State Patrol and Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office. A trooper was able to successfully use a PIT maneuver to stop the vehicle. No injuries were reported in the incident.
