RiverView President/CEO Carrie Michalski has been elected to a three-year term on the Minnesota Hospital Association (MHA) Board of Directors.

    Michalski is an at-large member on the board of 28 individuals representing hospital leaders from across the state. The Board of Directors is responsible for establishing and implementing policies and decisions to advance the delivery of health care and health care policy in Minnesota and on the national level.

    “I am honored to serve on the governing board of the Minnesota Hospital Association,’’ Michalski shared. “The Association mission is to assist each of the 142 member hospitals to be successful in delivery of our missions in the communities we serve. Our membership is diverse and I have the ability to contribute the perspective from an independent, rural critical access hospital.’’

New pediatrician also specializes in sleep medicine

    RiverView Health welcomes Arveity Setty, MD, to its medical staff.

    Dr. Setty is a pediatrician, and also specializes in sleep medicine. Along with seeing children for well child exams and other needs, Dr. Setty will oversee RiverView’s Sleep Center.

    A graduate of JJM Medical College, Davangere, Karnataka India, Dr. Setty did pediatric residencies in Flint, MI, and Kolar, India. He also did a sleep medicine fellowship at Cincinnati (OH) Children’s Hospital Medical Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Sleep Medicine.
