It's the second such trip in as many years for Crookston crooner.

Crookston High School senior Zach Sanders performed with the 2017-2018 Minnesota All-State Mixed Chorus at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis on Saturday, Feb. 24. The concert was held at the conclusion of the Minnesota Music Educator Association's Midwinter Clinic.

This was Sanders’ second performance at Orchestra Hall as he was also a member of the 2016-2017 Minnesota All-State Men's Chorus.

Sanders is the son of Steve and Laurie Sanders.

The conductor of the Mixed Chorus was G. Phillip Shoultz III. Shoultz is the associate conductor and education program director of vocal-essence and serves as director of music, worship, and the arts for Good Samaritan United Methodist Church.

“We were fortunate that the All State Choir Concert went on as scheduled in the morning as the All State Band and Orchestra Concert scheduled for the afternoon was cancelled due to inclement weather,” CHS Choral Director Belinda Fjeld said.
