Villa St Vincent/The SUMMIT of Crookston, recently honored Teresa Persson, for her commitment to the Benedictine Health System (BHS) Mission and Core Values with the presentation of the 2017 Sister Claudia Riehl Living a Legacy award.

    Villa St Vincent/The SUMMIT of Crookston,  recently honored Teresa Persson, for her commitment to the Benedictine Health System (BHS) Mission and Core Values with the presentation of the 2017 Sister Claudia Riehl Living a Legacy award.

    Sister Claudia Riehl, OSB, St. Scholastica Monastery, dedicated endless energy, countless hours of time and exceptional expertise, to further the BHS Mission.   Sister Claudia’s leadership in Mission Integration made a profound impact on the BHS culture. In 2011, the Sister Claudia Riehl Living a Legacy employee recognition program was launched to recognize those employees who model her commitment.

    Teresa has worked in Culinary Service for over 30 years.  As one of Teresa’s nomination states:  Teresa possesses an empathetic spirit towards each resident and tenant and her calm demeanor, warm smile and compassionate voice is soothing and comforting. She demonstrates a high commitment to making things better for her coworkers and the Villa St Vincent/The SUMMIT as a whole. Teresa brings a beauty to VSV and what we try to accomplish one perfect smile at a time.  Teresa is a vital part of the Villa family and emulates Sister Claudia’s commitment to the Mission/Values of the Villa St Vincent/The SUMMIT and Benedictine Health Systems.

    Administrator Judy Hulst noted that, “While the entire Villa Team is tops, these nominees should be especially proud.  Each was formally chosen by their peers because they are recognized as employees that go above and beyond, their work is excellent, and they share a kind and caring attitude. These nominees are the best of the best and we are delighted to recognize their excellence.”      

    As for Teresa, she quietly, without complaint, attends to her work daily.  Teresa is an exemplary employee that cares deeply for those that we serve. She has outstanding customer service, and will go out of her way to make sure that all needs are tended to.  She works well with everyone and she is a loyal employee.  She comes to work with a positive attitude, and is gifted with a personality that makes others feel comfortable around her.  She has a keen ability to listen to others, a sense of humor, and endless patience”.
