2 new rides, 3 new food vendors this year
The Polk County Fair in Fertile opens Wednesday with a few fresh faces for food vendors. County Property Records director Michelle Cote, who is also on the fair board, says there will be a couple new rides and three new food vendors.
“We lost two food vendors, but we typically try to replace the item with a like item,” Cote explained to the county commissioners during a recent board meeting at the Government Center. “Adeline’s Ice Cream will be replaced by Berry Burst Frozen Yogurt from Crookston, Aunt Edmoe’s Cookies can’t make it due to scheduling so they will be replaced by Althea’s Cakery of Fosston, and Bergeson Nursery will not be in the cabin this year because of staffing, so they will be replaced by a roasted nut place.”
“We also did some blacktop paving last fall to help with wheelchair access,” she added.
