Evelyn M. (Solie) Hagen

Evelyn M. (Solie) Hagen, 97, of Willmar went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at Bethesda Grand Nursing Home in Willmar. Her memorial service will be 1 p.m., Monday, April 25, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 402 6th Street East, Beltrami. Burial will be at Scandia Cemetery, approximately one mile south of Beltrami. Arrangements are with West Central Cremation Service in Willmar, www.hafh.org.

Evelyn was born on July 23, 1924, in Crookston to Burnet and Gladys Solie. On August 18, 1945, she married Albert Hagen in Crookston. The couple farmed in Scandia Township near Beltrami until 1961 when they moved to Crookston. A few years after Albert passed away, Evelyn moved to Willmar in 1981. Evelyn was employed by Quality Cleaners and Cargill elevators in Crookston and Schwegman’s Cleaners in Willmar, retiring in 1996.

She is survived by a daughter: Ardis (David) Aaker of Willmar; daughter-in-law: Shirley Hagen of Grand Forks, N.D.; brother: Burt (Betty) Solie of Duncan, Okla.; brother-in-law: Lloyd Herberg of Babbitt; five grandchildren: Rhonda (Rick) Klein of Willmar, Mike (Missy) Aaker of Willmar, Todd (Pam) Hagen of Mandan, N.D., Tammy (Mike) Reimler of Rogers, and Tim (Mary) Hagen of Excelsior; nine greatgrandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special family friend: Linda Hagen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Albert; a son: Arlin; one brother; two sisters; and two infant sisters.
