​I once installed and managed over a dozen wood duck houses surrounding the small shallow lake that I live next to southwest of Bemidji near the Becida community in Hubbard County. The lake, named Assawa Lake, which is a designated natural environment lake, has mostly a wooded shoreline as well as a hayfield along it’s west shore.
