The University of Minnesota Crookston men’s hockey team continues to make history this season. The Golden Eagles are off to their best start in school history, 14-2 and are currently ranked fifth in the Central region in the ACHA.

MOORHEAD, Minn. – Minnesota State University Moorhead controlled the paint and the boards Saturday, December 10 to claim a 71-50 win over the University of Minnesota Crookston women’s basketball team at Nemzek Hall. MSU Moorhead had 43 rebounds to 25 for the Golden Eagles. They scored 44 points in the paint Saturday.

BURNSVILLE, Minn. — The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference announced that 864 student-athletes have earned NSIC All-Academic honors for the 2022 fall athletic season; 535 student-athletes were named to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence, while 329 earned NSIC All-Academic Team honors.

Crookston, Minn. – Minnesota Crookston hockey exploded for seven third period goals to skate past North Dakota State on Friday night in the first annual ‘Teddy Bear Toss’ game, 8-1.

Aberdeen, S.D. – Chandler Meeks (Fr., G, Omaha, Neb.) and Blaize Sagna (So., G, London, England) each added 15 points, but it wasn’t enough for the Golden Eagles, who fell, 81-62, to Northern State in men’s basketball action on Friday night.

River Falls, Wis. – The University of Minnesota Crookston Western Team was recently in River Falls, Wis., for a meet hosted by Wisconsin-River Falls this past Saturday and Sunday.

Aberdeen, S.D. – Emma Miller (Fr., G, Albertville, Minn.) scored a career-high 32 points for Minnesota Crookston, who held off a furious second half rally from Northern State for the 61-50 victory on Friday night in Aberdeen.

Katrina Theis scored a season-high 36 points on 17-19 shooting from the field to lead her Huskies to a 71-51 victory over the Golden Eagles on Saturday. Minnesota Crookston falls to 2-7 (1-2 NSIC) on the season.

Las Vegas, Nev. -- On Tuesday morning, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced the recipients for the 2022 Mark Laesch Awards. The University of Minnesota Crookston men’s golf team was awarded as the recipient in Division II.
