Crookston youth wrestlers compete in Barnesville

On Saturday, Feb 4th,nine youth wrestlers competed in Barnesville, MN in three duals. Our wrestlers got anywhere from four to five matches at this event. The first dual was against Frazee, Crookston won 21-18; second dual was against Barnesville, Crookston came out on top 13-12; and the third and final dual was against UCB, this was either a 1010 tie or 11-10 loss for Crookston.

Golden Eagle Baseball Edged in Season-Opening Doubleheader in Hawai’i

WAIPAHU, Hawai’i - The University of Minnesota Crookston baseball team opened the season with a pair of losses at Hawai'i Pacific University at Central Oahu Regional Park in Waipahu, Hawai'i. The Golden Eagles posed a ninth inning rally in the first game with four runs, but fell short in a 8-6 loss. In the second game of the doubleheader, the Sharks were trailing 7-2 going into the bottom of the sixth, but scored five runs to force extra innings. Hawai'i Pacific toppled the Golden Eagles in the bottom of the ninth with a walk-off single by Noah Hata to win 9-8.

Minnesota Crookston Soccer Announces Signing of Mantorville Midfielder Bebee

The University of Minnesota Crookston announced the signing of Caitlin Bebee (MF, 5-8, Mantorville, Minn./Kasson-Mantorville H.S.) to a National Letter of Intent. Bebee is the fourth signee for the Golden Eagles. She joins Megan McGraw (F, 5-4, Shakopee, Minn./Shakopee H.S.), Marsia Green (F, 5-10, Waconia, Minn./Mayer Lutheran H.S.), and Madison Lein (D, 5-4, Bismarck, N.D./Legacy H.S.).

Minnesota Crookston Wins Third-Place Game 4-0 Against Wisconsin-Eau Claire

BLAINE, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Crookston took down the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire 4-0 to take third place at the WCCHA Tournament at the NSC Super Rink in Blaine, Minn. The 17th-ranked Golden Eagles picked up the win to earn their best finish at the WCCHA Tournament. UMN Crookston made it to the WCCHA Consolation Championship last season, but lost to the University of Minnesota.

Sand Earns MOP in Horsemanship as Golden Eagles Fall 10-3 to Baylor

The University of Minnesota Crookston equestrian was defeated by Baylor University 10-3 in Fresno, Calif. The Golden Eagles won three points and tied three points against the Bears. UMN Crookston was guided by Belle Sand (So., Spicer, Minn.), who made it back-to-back MOP (Most Outstanding Performance) honors, as she earned it in horsemanship.
