Minnesota Crookston Soccer Set for New Era in 2023; Welcome In Seven Newcomers

The University of Minnesota Crookston soccer program is opening a new era of soccer in the fall of 2023 with new Head Coach Neil Mancktelow. Mancktelow was on the sidelines last season as an assistant coach, but 2023 will be his first leading the ship for the Golden Eagles. He will be joined by Assistant Coach Morgan Philliber, who arrives after a stint as assistant coach at Buena Vista University, and a decorated career as goalkeeper at the University of Wisconsin- Superior.

Minnesota Crookston Baseball Season Closes with 6-5 Loss to Augustana at NSIC Tournament

MANDAN, N.D. - The University of Minnesota Crookston baseball team saw their season come to a close to a 6-5 loss to Augustana University in an elimination game at the 2023 NSIC Tournament at Veterans Memorial Ballpark in Mandan, N.D. The Golden Eagles had their opportunities to overcome the top-seed Vikings, but stranded 15 runners on the base path despite a valiant effort.

Hjelle Named NSIC Player of the Week

BURNSVILLE, Minn. - University of Minnesota Crookston baseball player Jake Hjelle (RJr., OF/1B, East Grand Forks, Minn.) was named NSIC Player of the Week. Hjelle earned NSIC Player of the Week accolades for the second time this season. During the 2023 season, three players have earned six NSIC Player or Pitcher of the Week honors.
