USDA Invests $10 Million in High-Speed Internet for People in Rural Minnesota

ST. PAUL, Minn., Feb. 16, 2023 -- U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development Minnesota State Director Colleen Landkamer today announced an investment of $10 million to bring highspeed internet access to people living and working in rural Minnesota. Today’s investments include funding from President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which provides a historic $65 billion to expand reliable, affordable, high-speed internet to all communities across the U.S.

Crookston Fire Department names third Hydrant Heroes

The Crookston Fire Department would like to congratulate Derek Martin on being the thrid Hydrant Hero of the season. To show our appreciation we presented him with $25 in Chamber Bucks to be used at a local business in town. Minnesota Crookston Baseball Takes First Game of Doubleheader with 21-13 Win Over Sharks

The University of Minnesota Crookston baseball team scored 21 runs in a slugfest in the first game of Sunday’s doubleheader with the Hawai'i Pacific University Sharks. Minnesota Crookston edged Hawai’i Pacific 21-13. A combined 34 runs were scored in the game. The Golden Eagles have not scored over 20 runs since a 23-6 victory over Bemidji State University March 6, 2021.
