George French and Emma Osborn received their awards at the Academics, Arts, and Athletics banquet on Wednesday February 2, 2022. As reported earlier in January, the purpose of the Triple ‘A’ award is to recognize and honor high school seniors who have excelled in the classroom, on the athletic field, and in fine arts.

American Crystal Sugar recently awarded RiverView Foundation a check for $5,000 to help with their Giving Hearts Day Campaign. River-View Foundation counts on grants and charitable support from donors – both individuals and businesses – to help ensure that they can continue to provide necessary access to quality health care services here in the Crookston area.

Crookston High School's Knowledge Bowl teams joined different towns from the region and competed against 35 teams to take 4th place, 6th place and 20th place. "It (today) was a hard competition at Knowledge Bowl because we had a bunch of different towns join us that typically compete in Crookston or Bemidji," explained Coach Katelyn Stegman.

American Federal employees Bill Anderson, Dan Erdman, Brian Frisk and Brook Hassel, who work in the Crookston office, have earned American Federal’s highest honor of recognition for outstanding sales and sales referral performance in 2021.

“The pandemic has left seniors to struggle to do normal day to day activities such as getting groceries, ordering prescriptions, spending holidays with family and grabbing a cup of coffee with friends,” explained Marley Melbye, senior programs director at Tri-Valley Opportunity Council.

RiverView Clinic – East Grand Forks recently became the third Rehab Services location to add a Multi-Sensory Environment (MSE) for its patients. "Multi-sensory spaces stimulate a person's senses through the environment," shared Marissa Jevne, Occupational Therapy assistant in East Grand Forks.

There are six agencies in Crookston participating in Giving Hearts Day 2022 on February 10 including Benedictine Living Community - Crookston (Villa/ Summit), Care and Share of Crookston, Cathedral Elementary School, Dakota Medical Foundation - Allan & Judy Dragseth Family Fund, Dakota Medical Foundation - Lenertz Family Health Fund and RiverView Foundation. Students at Our Savior’s Lutheran School in Crookston celebrated National Lutheran Schools Week the week of January 24. Their theme “Jesus…In All Things” was used as they went on online mission trips, completed team challenges, and participated in several service projects.
